Welcome to the Queens Beach State School website.
It is my hope that this website captures some of the true magic of our exceptional school. I am very proud to introduce you to Queens Beach State School. We have an amazing school with Outstanding Teachers that are committed to delivering high quality education to all students. Queens Beach is a welcoming school with happy and engaged children who are supported by staff and parents. I feel very privileged to be the Principal of our school.

Arts Excellence
We have large open spaces and classrooms for students to play and learn in. Each class is equipped with interactive Smartboards, computers, laptops and IPads. We have further technology resources in the computer lab and library - 30 computers, IPads, interactive Smartboards and even a 3D printer. Our design and technology teacher is passionate about teaching students skills to access the 21st century.
At Queens Beach State School we take great pride in our sporting achievements no matter how great or small. We value inclusivity and promote participation through a diverse range of activities. We believe that sport is fundamentally important for not only student's physical wellbeing but also mental resilience. Our sports department not only offers weekly PE lessons to all classes but also provides a multitude of opportunities for extracurricular sporting events. Queens Beach is known for its exceptional success rate for representative achievements at a local, subdistrict, and Northern and Queensland level. We aim to provide an environment where all students are encourage to participate and strive to reach their potential.
Our skilled musicians have many opportunities to participate in choirs and bands. Students from Years 1 – 6 are able to participate in the Junior and Senior Choirs. They have travelled to and performed at Eisteddfods, Music Festivals and Choral Festivals and excelled at these competitions.
Students also have the opportunity to learn Spanish in the upper years.
The Australian Curriculum is taught at Queens Beach State School. The Leadership Team and teachers are committed to providing high quality units, which develop the knowledge and skills students need to embrace life-long learning. A well-researched, Early Years Approach is implemented giving students the foundation skills needed to achieve success. With this strong foundation, students are able to flourish and continue to grow as they proceed through the middle and upper years.
We have a strong focus on student well-being. Mindfulness and brain breaks are embedded throughout the day, to help students stay in their learning zones and regulate their emotions. This supportive environment encourages high behaviour standards and resilient learners. I am constantly impressed by the manners, attitudes and enthusiasm of Queens Beach students.
We are a large school with a small school feel where students care for each other and embrace high quality opportunities. At Queens Beach State School, we develop attitudes, which unlock the treasure of lifelong learning each day. Our students live by our mantra 'Great things through hard work!'
